Around the resort

• Dumpster: at the resort entrance, next to the lower barn. You never have to take the trash out.
• Extra firewood ($7 a bundle): the shed up the hill between houses 140 and 132. The door is open, and there's a sign.
• Shared fire pit: by the pergola in the middle of the property (the duplex houses use this one).
• No streetlights on the farm. Drive slowly with your headlights on; deer come out at night.

On the farm

• Stroll the park, explore along the creek (with a grown-up), and visit the bunnies and baby goats.

Family fun

• Bushkill Falls, "the Niagara of Pennsylvania": waterfall trails for all ages.
• Camelback Resort & Mountain (Tannersville): skiing and snow tubing in winter, Aquatopia indoor water park.
• Kalahari Resort (Pocono Manor): huge indoor water park, great for rainy days.
• Great Wolf Lodge (Scotrun): indoor water park for younger kids.
• Promised Land State Park: lakes, easy trails and summer swimming.
• Lake Wallenpaupack: boating, beaches and lakeside fun.
• Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm (Stroudsburg): a working historic farm, kid favorite.
• Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area: hikes, river views, waterfalls.
